GP Grilled Steak!
Fire up your grill! Ovens are not an option for this one.
Heat to around 400 degrees
What you’ll need:
- STEAK! up to 1 inch thick!
- BUTTER! Tillamook natural unsalted is what we prefer
- Salt (Sea salt is great, but any that you prefer is fine)
- Pepper (To taste)
- Olive oil
- Seared Mushroom onions for toppings if you like (this you can do on your stove)
After you fire up your grill allow it to heat up about 15-20 minutes. Allow your steak(s) to sit at room temperature for about an hour, hand rub with olive oil, salt, and pepper. That’s it!
Once your grill reaches temperature place in center of the rack directly over flames, sear for 2 minutes on that side, flip and sear again for 2 minutes, flip back and cook for 8-15 minutes depending on desired finish. Repeat the same once flipped on other side for 8-15 more minutes. Once your steak is done cut squares of butter and place on top of each steak allowing them to melt before you consume. Add more salt and pepper to taste if needed. Top with mushroom and onions if desired.
